Dullatur neighbourhood watch group raised alarm about callers whose paperwork is fake
Police have issued a warning about men going door to door, claiming they have a license to sell goods or services but the paperwork is fake.
The men who have English accents aroused the suspicions of a neighbourhood watch group in Dullatur.
Security-conscious members were able to show private CCTV footage of callers to police, but there have been other reports of the men doing the rounds. For police have been contacted by concerned householders from Cumbernauld and Condorrat as well.
Officers say that their colleagues in the Borders and Edinburgh have also received complaints amidst claims that the men are part of a wider gang network. Police are warning our readers not to engage with them.
