The 75-year-old discovered the jewellery was missing from her Kelvin Gardens home last Monday, October 26.
However, the items may have been taken up to a week beforehand when a rear window was used to gain access to the property.
Meanwhile, owners of a home in Glasgow Road lost valuable items during a daylight break-in last Tuesday, October 27 while they were out for the day.
Clothing, gadgets and watches were taken in the daring raid which saw the culprits smash a patio door to gain access in broad daylight.
The array of designer items taken include a Versace dress, a Louis Vuitton holdall, a Nikon SLR camera and a black Apple tablet.
Three luxury watches were also taken in the raid, including an Omega Seamaster model and another bearing the Shapad logo. A ladies’ Versace watch was also bagged by the thief.
