Lenzie motorist charged with drink driving after leaving local shop

A 55-year-old man has been arrested on a drinking driving charge in Lenzie.

The motorist was charged by police after he left the Co-op store at Kirkintilloch Road around 6pm yesterday (Monday).

East Dunbartonshire Police tweeted: “Goes without saying if you have to leave the house for essentials you should do so sober.

“We are still out in force and the same rules apply.”
