Man arrested as police in Glasgow uncover large-scale industrial cannabis farm

Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £500,000 have been recovered by police from a Glasgow industrial unit.

Officers searched industrial premises in Fairley Street in the Govan area of the city under warrant, and recovered a large quantity of cannabis plants.

A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the recovery and was expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today (Wednesday, 29 July).

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Inspector Scott Simpson at Govan Police Station said: “We will act on information and concerns that we receive from people living in the local community about drugs supply and continue to disrupt those involved in the supply of drugs.
