Police appeal after man attacked in Nitshill

Officers are appealing for information following a serious assault in Nitshill.

At around 5.45pm on yesterday evening (Thursday, September 27) a 34 year old man was walking, with two friends, along Weensmoor Road, Nitshill when they were confronted by two men resulting in the 34 year old man sustaining a laceration injury to his face.

Emergency services attended and the injured man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

There is currently no information on the suspects.

Officers have been carrying out door-to-door enquiries and will be checking CCTV footage which may be relevant to their enquiries.

Detective Constable Mark Hendry said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident, perhaps people on their way home from work or for shopping, who may have seen something which didn’t seem relevant at the time but now that a crime has taken place, what you saw may be relevant so please do pass it on.”
