Police hunt man over alleged teenage girls incident

Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to trace in connection with an alleged incident involving two 16-year-old girls in Govanhill.

The girls were walking on Allison Street at 11pm on April 1 last year when a man approached them.

He is described as “Eastern European”, between 18 and 20 years old, 5ft 7ins, slim with dark brown hair cropped at the sides and longer on top.

He was wearing a light coloured hooded top with a dark t-shirt underneath, dark jogging bottoms and white Nike football boots.

Detective Constable Lyn Stewart from Shettleston CID said: “I would appeal to anyone who recognises the man in the image to please come forward as we believe he may be able to help with our investigation.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Shettleston CID via 101 and quote incident number 5187 of Saturday, April 1 2017.
