Police in mystery Westerwood hunt
Police have taped off an area of woodland around St Andrew's Drive in Cumbernauld's Westerwood, and are involved in what is described as 'a proactive investigation'.
The operation has been ongoing throughout the weekend, prompting enquiries from local residents mystified by the activity, which hasn’t been reported elsewhere.
One local man said: “I live in Edenside, but I haven’t been able to get any information.”
A police spokesperson confirmed the investigation was taking place, but said it wasn’t possible to provide any details at the moment.
