£10,000 reward to help find killers of Thornliebank man Tony Ferns

A year on from her son’s death, his mother Phyllis made an emotional plea to the public for help.

Now the independent charity Crimestoppers Scotland is offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for Anthony Ferns’ murder.

Tony, as he was known, was attacked by a man on Crebar Street, Thornliebank, at around 10pm on Thursday, April 18, 2019.

The 33-year-old was violently assaulted inside his Audi A3 car.

Whilst he was able to make it to his home nearby immediately after the attack, paramedics were unable to save his life.

Sadly, he died in front of his Phyllis.

Last week, on the anniversary of Tony’s death, Phyllis appealed to members of the public for help.

The suspect at the time of the initial appeal was described as aged between 20 and 30 and around 5ft 8ins to 6ft tall.
