Six months jail for growing cannabis
A man has been jailed for six months for growing cannabis plants at his home in Motherwell.
Gary Bell (44) was sentenced at Hamilton Sheriff Court after he admited cultivating the Class B drug at the property in Adele Street on June 26 this year.
Sheriff Allan McKay decided that only prison was appropriate, but cut the sentence from nine months because of the guilty plea.
