Teenager arrested following serious sexual assault
Police have made an arrest in connection with the serious sexual assault of a 15-year-old schoolgirl in Carbrain on Saturday, October 11.
Officers have held a 16-year-old male in connection with the offence which is alleged to have taken place in Beechwood Road.
A report on this incident has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
The male is expected to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court tomorrow.
