Two men injured after disturbance in Glasgow’s Southside

Police in Glasgow are appealing for information after two men were injured in a disturbance in the Cathcart area of the city.

Officers attended the Cathcart Road area around 7.25pm on Saturday, August 1, following a report of a man seen injured in the area.

Subsequent enquiries were carried out at a property on Butterbiggins Road where a second man was found injured.

Both men – aged 28 and 24 – were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to non-life threatening injuries.

Detective Constable Paul McFarlane of Cathcart CID said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances which led to these men suffering their injuries.

“We would urge anyone who may witnessed a disturbance on Butterbiggins Road or who may have dashcam footage or private CCTV to come forward.
