Police are looking into the spate of thefts which have occurred when many victims are already out of pocket due to the coronavirus lockdown.

Jenn Freeland caught the men who stole the tools from her partner’s work van in Bearsden on CCTV.

The footage shows a man wearing gloves trying to open their front door on Pendicle Road in Bearsden, before stealing the tools from a white transit van parked outside and also breaking into Jenn’s car.

The men with flashlights make off in a car after carrying out the robbery around 2.30am on March 31.

Tracey Anderson and Liam O’Hara have been left devastated after their van was stolen from Anniesland Road in Jordanhill on March 31.

The van, registration YP60 DGE, is of “huge sentimental value” to the couple.

Another worker had his van stolen from Whiteford Road in Stepps on Friday, April 3.

The van also contained work tools and personal items.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland confirmed that the force is looking into the thefts. Anyone with information is asked contact police on 101.
