Cumbernauld break-in turns into van theft

Another works van with a valuable cargo of tools has been stolen under cover of darkness.

Cumbernauld Police confirmed that the latest incident took place in Greenfaulds at 2.30am on Friday, September 30.

The thief pocketed a number of valuable items from the house including a set of keys to the van.

Yet again, the keys were used to start up the van, effectively making it the getaway vehicle.

This latest incident happened in Locksley Avenue but there have also been a high number of similar thefts in Abronhill

A police spokesman said: “Make sure your home is properly secured and any high value items are placed out of sight.
