The former Cumbernauld High School pupils who live in King’s Drive are now the proud owners of a Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Through a series of outward bound and community challenges, the pair have worked their way up to the highest accolade of the lot – the Gold Award.
Community-spirited Nicole and Ryan have been heavily involved in volunteering and are building on that after recently becoming first aiders with the St Andrew’s Ambulance Brigade.
Some readers will also recognise Nicole as a Brownie leader for 1st Cumbernauld.
Mum Diane said: “I am very proud of them both. The way they have progressed up from the Bronze award to the Gold award has been just great.’’
