Christopher Dewar (29) of Craigelvan Place in Condorrat got in training for the Cumbernauld 10k and raised £800 in sponsorship cash from his many friends across Cumbernauld.
And when it came to deciding where the cash should go, Christopher was in no doubt where the cash should go.

For fast mover Christopher has been involved with Watch us Grow since he was a pupil at Glencryan School.
A work experience stint has led to a more prolonged volunteering job over the years although Christopher usually works at the Castlecary House Hotel.
Christopher was urged to participate by staff at Kenilworth medical centre who were helping him shed a few pounds.
And their encouragement and that of the cheering crowd helped him finish in one hour and 33 minutes.

He said: “It was a wee bit tough at first because of the strain on the heart but once I got going it was brilliant.
“I was so proud when I finished and everyone wanted to shake my hand
“ And I’m going to go for it next year too!’’ said Christopher.
Friends of Watch Us Grow Association treasurer Karen Stewart of Kildrum said: “Christopher is a wonderful young man who has been involved with us for a very long time. We are very grateful to him especially as we are looking to replace the car which picks up our volunteers to bring them up to Palacerigg. So this money will be donated towards that.’’
