With community right at the heart of McCarthy and Stone, the company has asked that any local causes still considering an application should do so by Friday, May 24.
The company is interested to hear from local causes, which require support in the form of donations; and while it cannot guarantee funding in every case, it has vowed to help at least three organisations in the Glasgow Southside area.

Entrants from community groups and local charities are urged to get in touch as soon as possible ahead of the closing date.
Lorraine Paterson, regional sales and marketing director at McCarthy and Stone in Scotland, said: “As Merchants Gate has now become part of the local landscape in Pollokshields, it is part of our ongoing commitment to help build a positive legacy in the local community.
“Therefore, it is fantastic to be able to offer to help causes, be it individuals or groups that are close to locals’ hearts in the south side of Glasgow.
“We’re really looking forward to hearing from a range of local charities and initiatives that could use our help and support.”
