This will include information about the controversial build-outs which were installed by the council in Rannoch Drive, Buchanan Drive and Kessington Road (Bearsden).

The consultation meeting, organised by East Dunbartonshire Council, will be held in Killermont Primary School, Bearsden at 7pm and will provide information on the traffic surveys which were carried out to find out what impact the features have had.

Some local residents claim that the build-outs are dangerous because drivers don’t see the bollards and knock them down which leaves an unmarked and invisible concrete island which blocks the free flow of traffic.

Irene Young, from Bearsden, collected 600 signatures for a petition last April which asked the council to remove them.

A spokesperson for the council said: “We hope to see you there and hear your views.”
