THERE was a lot of fun and games to celebrate the 2013 gala day crowning of Allana Halliday, a P7 pupil at Douglas Primary School.

And none more so than in the village’s It’s a Knockout competition in which six adult teams battled for the winner’s shield.

One of the organisers, Hazel Moule, said: “The teams gave their all and provided plenty of entertainment!”

As two teams tied, the overall winner was decided by a tug-o-war competition in which the Warriors came out victorious.
