Driver comes forward after cyclist injured

A 26-year-old man has come forward to police after a cyclist was injured in an alleged hit and run.

The motorist came forward after an appeal for information about the incident on the B822 Crow Road at Lennoxtown on Friday afternoon.

The cyclist (35) was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital where he was treated for leg injuries.

A police spokesperson said today: “Following enquiry, a 26-year-old male from the Glasgow area has come forward and identified himself as the driver.

“He will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal at Stirling for various driving offences.

“We would like to thank the public for their information and assistance with the investigation.”
