Eaglesham AFC clubs together for the Beatson

EAGLESHAM Amateurs Football Club are giving cancer the boot, having donated £500 to the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre.

The money was raised with plenty of help from the club’s main sponsor, the Eglinton Arms Hotel in Eaglesham, which held a comedy night in October, in aid of both the local football club and the Beatson unit in the westend of Glasgow.

AFC secretary Michael Gowans told The Extra: “The club is glad to be in a position again this year to make a donation to the Beatson.

“Thanks must go to all who attended the event, Carolyn Stark of the Eglinton Arms for supporting it — and the Beatson for continuing the great work they
do.”
