Eaglesham are Fair ready

The organisers of this year's Eaglesham Fair are pulling out all the stops to make it one of the best yet for residents and visitors alike.

This Saturday, June 3 is the big day, when the crowds are expected to flock into the playing fields to enjoy what is undoubtedly billed as one of the southside’s largest summer fairs.

It all starts at 11am with a parade through the village involving local schools and groups before the crowning ceremony of this year’s Eaglesham Fair Queen, Cailin White.

There is a huge selection of stuff happening on the day, including a kids zone, a craft marquee and the Montgomerie Halls will be open as usual for puppet theatre shows, baking competition along with face painting, rainbow hair and glitter tattoos. In the main park area there is beach volleyball, inflatables, beer tent, wood carver, donkey rides, pipe band, dog shows, owl magic, digger challenges, golf academy, motobikes, the big wheel, carousel and bungee trampoline.
