Eastwood welcomes children’s author

The Greenock-based writer and winner at this year’s Scottish Childrens Book Awards spoke to S1 pupils about her own work, and about creative ideas they had brewing.

Eastwood kids also received a sneak peek at a film trailer made for her latest book, Another Me.

The event was one of a number of recent book-themed outings organised by Eastwood librarian Anne De’Ath, and followed a previous meeting with Cathy at the Book Awards, as the school was the only one in East Ren to be invited through to Edinburgh.

Cathy’s visit to Eastwood ended with a successful signing and book sale event — so pupils have plenty of new reading material for the Easter holidays.
