Election countdown is on

The countdown is on for the Scottish Parliament election on Thurday, May 5, when people across the country go to the polls to elect their representatives at Holyrood.

Once again the Herald has teamed up with Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce to stage a hustings event to give candidates standing in the Strathkelvin and Bearsden constituency the chance to have their say and take part in a question and answer session.

The hustings takes place in McGregor House, in Southbank Business Park, Kirkintilloch, on Thursday, April 21, from 12pm - 2pm.

Chamber member and Kirkintilloch businessman Robert Wilson said: “Although the hustings meeting is primarily for businessmen and women, anyone who would like to come along will be welcome.

“We’ve held a number of these events and they are always very well attended. They give the candidates an opportunity to answer some of the important questions people may have.”
