End of a chapter for Lowther Church, Leadhills
For over half a century, Mary Hamilton has been the organist at Lowther Church.And when the building, in Leadhills, closed at the end of the year she was still playing for the final services.
“It has been a chapter,” said Mary, who is 85.
Her connection with the church spans generations as her great-grandfathers were involved in building it back in 1883.
