Carnwath’s new playpark is open
IN a personal triumph for community group Carnwath In Bloom, the newly refurbished village playpark has been officially opened.
The persistence and determination of CIB members saw them land £75,000 of funding from various sources, culminating in the official unveiling of the playpark on Friday.
Carnwath In Bloom chairman Kevin Lindsay told an assembled audience: “It is nice to stand here among this play equipment.
“Not so long ago this place was rundown. So it is nice to see all the new stuff.”
Clydesdale East Councillor Hamish Stewart cut the ribbon to officially open the playpark.
