‘I Love Lenzie’ photo contest

Photographers of all ages can take part, in the following age groups: Under 12s, 12 – 18 year olds, and Over 18s. Take a photograph digitally from 1st August and submit it as advised on the websites.

There will be weekly winners, and one overall winner. The theme of the digital photographs should be “What I love about Lenzie”. This is just the inspiration you’ve been waiting for to get you out and about after lockdown. Take photographs in Lenzie, select the one which best shows what you as an individual love about Lenzie, and submit it. More information is available on both websites.

Meanwhile, Lenzie Community Council has been granted £6,000 from Towns and BIDs Resilience and Recovery Fund to help local businesses meet the Covid-19 guidelines, and help get back them back to “normal” working.

The community council has already invested £750 from their own funds to give out hand sanitizer to 12 local businesses and facilities.

With this additional funding we will now be able to give further assistance to help grateful local businesses meet the necessary Covid guidelines in order to get back to work while keeping everyone safe.
