Visit Scotland gave the park a four-star rating and a positive review following a visit in August, with work already underway to secure a coveted five-star award.

The park is funded by East Dunbartonshire and Stirling councils, with support from the Mugdock Trust charity.

A new visitor centre and shop were opened earlier this year as part of a wider redevelopment of the offices and meeting rooms, comprising a total investment of £60,000.

Another £25,000 was invested by East Dunbartonshire Council in a new adventure trail aimed at children aged eight and over.

Meanwhile, park businesses - Caulders, Mugdock Country Cycles, Charlie’s Coffee Shop, Bar & Theatre, Mugdock Makkers and The Stables Tea Room - have exciting plans for the future, while the Christmas Fayre and lights switch-on takes place on Friday, November 25.
