At a recent meeting of the Policy and Resources Committee, councillors agreed to refurbish the memorial hall first before beginning the “remodelling of Bishopbriggs Community Hub”.

A council spokesperson said on Monday library facilities would decant into the war memorial hall after this refurbishment.

Depute Leader of the Council, Billy Hendry, said: “The absence of council and library services during construction was of great concern to many residents I have spoken to about these projects.

“It is important we deliver these developments with minimal disruption to the local community.”
