Popping up at Silverburn Shopping Centre today and tomorrow (Thursday, December 5 and Friday, December 6), the Revolve Christmas Shop has a dazzling selection of gifts, ideal for stocking fillers or Secret Santa presents.

The Revolve certification is Scotland’s re-use quality standard for second hand items and is awarded to stores that meet high standards in quality, service and safety. Awarded by Zero Waste Scotland, the kitemark of quality gives customers the guarantee that they can shop second hand with confidence.

Shopping for pre-loved items not only saves shoppers money, it also protects the environment, ensuring that fewer quality items end up in landfill. Many second hand stores such as charity shops also support good causes, meaning the gifts may also benefit people in need. Research carried out by Zero Waste Scotland indicates that four out of five Scots would be happy to receive a pre-loved Christmas gift, yet only a quarter said they had ever gifted a second hand item.

Catherine Bozec, Consumer Campaigns Manager, Zero Waste Scotland, said: “Christmas is all about spending time with loved ones and giving gifts you know they will cherish. Our pop-up Christmas shop has a fantastic selection of quality products which make perfect presents.

“Research shows that 80% of Scots would welcome a second hand gift, so by shopping Revolve you are not only saving money, you are you helping the environment too.

“Pop in to our pop-up shop for a wonderful, wintry and waste-free Christmas, filled with festive cheer.”

The Revolve Christmas shop is located in Silverburn Shopping Centre (beside Cineworld) and is open from 11am until 7pm both days.
