Wind turbine at Whiteleehill farm loses a nose cone

A turbine within the extension (Whiteleehill Farm area) lost its nose cone last week.

Thankfully nobody was injured as a result.

At this stage it is not known why the turbine failed but from a health and safety point of view it was necessary to close the entire site until such time as the remaining turbines could be checked and tested.

So far 30 out of a total 75 have undergone the safety checks and the operators hope to complete the remaining turbines in next three days.
