Fair play all round

EAST Renfrewshire’s Fairtrade Zone status has been renewed.

Since the last renewal, a number of initiatives and events have been held throughout the area.

A Fairtrade steering group meets at least twice a year to devise a Fairtrade action plan. This year a Fairtrade football festival was held in February which highlighted the fact that 75 per cent of the world’s footballs come from one region of Pakistan – which still has 10 million people in employment under the age of 14.
