Fairtrade stall is a hit at Christmas event

Members of Bearsden and Milngavie Fairtrade group sold Fairtrade goods, including socks made from bamboo which according to Sue Milne, a founding member of the group, are ‘very warm and comfortable.’

They set up a stall at the Christmas fayre in Milngavie precinct last Saturday.

They offered people hot drinks to warm up as well as the chance to buy Fairtrade gifts for Christmas such as tealight candle holders, scarves, ornaments and chocolate with cocoa sourced from Africa, Peru and the Caribbean.
