The organisation is made up of more than 70 seniors from multicultural backgrounds, and meets every Thursday for lunch clubs, yoga sessions and even educational trips around Scotland or further afield.

The big anniversary celebration was attended by East Renfrewshire councillor Elaine Green, representatives of Voluntary Action, Age Scotland and other important guests, and all were treated to lunch and a slideshow of the group’s activities to date.

Fairweather chair, Mrs Rakshinda Khan, thanked all for attending and general secretary Jagdish Singh added that a lovely day was had by all 60 guests.
