The event will be hosted by East Dunbartonshire Provost Una Walker on Sunday, November 1, with all proceeds going to St Margaret of Scotland Hospice and Cash for Kids.

The ladies lunch will take place in the Eagle Lodge in Bishopbriggs from 12.30pm, with a two course lunch served at 1.30pm.

Guests will have the opportunity to browse a range of stalls and get their Christmas shopping started before lunch.

There will be 13 stalls which will include designer perfumes, handbags, jewellery, home gifts, crafts, cards and books.

Tickets cost £25 each and can be bought individually, or you can group together with friends to book a table of ten.

Provost Walker said: “This year my lunch will benefit two local charities which are close to many of our hearts - St Margaret of Scotland Hospice and Cash for Kids.

“Our local hospice not only gives specialist and loving care to people at the end of their lives but also gives tremendous support to their friends and families at the most difficult of times.

“For many years Cash for Kids has been brightening the lives of needy children in the west of Scotland, including East Dunbartonshire, not just at Christmas but throughout the year. She added: “The lunch provides an opportunity for some excellent ‘me time’ and a good reason to catch up with friends or family over a lovely lunch in this excellent restaurant - and buy those unusual Christmas presents that can’t be found in the shops.

“We’ll also be having some fun with a raffle which has some great prizes up for grabs.”
