Farmers suffering from poor weather conditions

As mid-March approached the weather had at times taken on a look of Christmas instead of spring. It is these continuing poor conditions which is making progress this spring very difficult.

Many farmers were hoping for an early spring to get livestock turned out to grass and reduce the daily work load; however a combination of the weather and compaction is pushing the turnout date for stock later.
