Festive waste collections

Bin collections will change across Glasgow and East Renfrewshire this week, allowing council workers to enjoy the festive 
holidays.

In Glasgow,blue or green bins usually collected on Friday (December 25) will now be collected on Sunday, and Saturday collections will take place on Monday.

The same applies to the first weekend of the new year.

Purple bins will be collected on Sunday, December 27 and Sunday, January 3.

Bulk uplifts have now been suspended, and normal service will resume on Monday, January 11.

In East Ren, waste collection services remain as normal on Thursday (December 24) and again on Monday (December 28), although bins usually collected on Friday will be taken on Sunday instead.

The same applies to the January 1 collection, which will take place on January 3.
