‘Field of Dreams’ a step closer

A £1.3 million dream facility in Lenzie to aid people with sight and hearing problems is another step closer to reality thanks to the tireless work by a local charity and volunteers.

Deafblind Scotland is staging a glitzy dinner dance with musical entertainment on March 14 in the Radisson blu Hotel in Glasgow.

All cash from the event will go towards building a new learning and development centre on the local site called the ‘Field of Dreams’ .

Drena O’Malley, event organiser, said: “The evening is part of our efforts to raise funds to build a Scottish centre of excellence for deafblind people. It would be great to make it a sell out.”
