‘Firearms man’ arrested after helicopter hunt

The man was arrested after the alert around 5pm on Wednesday.

The Police Scotland helicopter was involved in the search for the man.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said they were alerted around 5.10pm on Wednesday after complaints of a man behaving suspiciously on Gartferry Road, Moodiesburn.

He added: ‘‘Following police inquiries a 22-year-old man was arrested in relation to alleged firearms incidents. A report is going to the Procurator Fiscal.’’
