Firefighters tackle blaze at Clarkston substation
Fire crews tackled a blaze at a substation in Beechlands Avenue in Clarkston late last night (Wednesday, December 19).
A SFRS spokesman said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 9.59pm on Wednesday, December 19 to reports of a fire at a substation in Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire engines to Beechlands Avenue where firefighters extinguished the fire.
“Scottish Power isolated the power and crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
