First council election results in
The first results in the East Dunbartonshire Council election are in.
Ward 1 (Milngavie) has elected Jim Gibbons (SNP), Jim Goodall (Liberal Democrats) and Graeme McGinnigle (Conservative).
The turnout was 58.7 per cent, with 6,144 votes cast.
The count continues at Bishopbriggs Leisuredrome.
