First cut-price festive ticket

It’s been designed to help encourage motorists to leave the car at home and instead use the bus this Christmas and New Year.

The five single trip ticket is available for just £9 and is aimed at people who might not ordinarily use the bus on a regular basis. It is ideal for Christmas and New Year shoppers and revellers.

With the festive season in full swing this week, Alex Perry, Interim Managing Director of First Glasgow, said: “Customers can travel five trips and not worry about having the correct change, losing their return ticket or the hassle and expense of parking the car. It’s great value and we’re sure it will encourage people to enjoy the festivities and act responsibly by using the bus.

“The tickets are available until the end of January, so they’re also perfect for passengers who want to make the most of the Boxing Day and January sales.

“They’re stored safely on your mTickets app, so all you need to do is hop on the bus and focus on grabbing a bargain.”

The First Bus mTicket app can be downloaded for free from either the app store for Apple devices, or at the Android Google Play Store.

Once you purchase your ticket present your phone to the driver and they will accept it just like any other ticket. The five single trip tickets are available to purchase until Tuesday 31 January.
