Police Scotland confirmed to the Gazette that it has additional patrols in the area.

This latest incident comes after a summer in which a ‘flasher’ struck in Carluke on three separate occasions.

In incidents which shocked the town, a man exposed himself to two females in broad daylight on June 19 in Wilton Road, Benty’s Lane and near Carluke Tesco. After crossing the road near the pedestrian crossing at Tesco, a female victim saw the man standing across the road and touching himself while staring at her.

And he struck again in broad daylight in Market Square just a few weeks later, leading police to renew calls for help from the public to apprehend him.

If anyone has any information they can contact Lanark Police Office on 101.
