Food bank launch appeal
THE East Renfrewshire Food Bank marked its official launch last week.
The service, based at St Andrews church in Barrhead, was set up in early 2013 amid concerns over locals struggling to meet living costs.
Eas Ren MP Jim Murphy attended. He said: “I would urge everyone to keep the donations coming. It would be heartbreaking if local kids go to bed starving in a country of such wealth.”
