On Friday, July 29, the business was targeted by fraudsters who called claiming they were a representative of the sheriff court.

The caller claimed a warrant had been issued against the shop due to an unpaid bill and that if the sum of £2,500 was not paid immediately it would rise by £850.

This resulted in the worried shopkeeper paying the sum.
