Free advice event announced by Newton Mearns care home

A care home in Newton Mearns is inviting the local community to a free advice surgery offering support to people considering care for their loved one.

On Tuesday, May 9 from 2-4pm, the Care UK team at Wellmeadow Lodge will open its doors for the free ‘Planning Care for the Future’ event.

Independent financial and legal specialists will be on hand to help those caring for a loved one understand the available options for funding long-term care. They will also provide expert information on legal matters such as wills and power of attorney.

After the event there will be a Q&A session with refreshments, and those who attend will also have the opportunity to meet the team at Wellmeadow Lodge and take a tour of the care home should they wish.
