However she needs local businesses to come forward to sponsor her to enable her to compete.

In return they will get lots of advertising and promotion.

Miss Galaxy Scotland 2016 is the Scottish preliminary to Miss Galaxy International, one of the biggest and most prestigious beauty contests in the world.

There are three rounds where the ladies appear on stage, but it’s also heavily focused on charity and community work.

Last year’s entrants raised almost £30,000 for The Christie charity which is the largest single site cancer centre in Europe treating more than 44,000 patients a year.

Freya said: “I have raised almost £8,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation over the past two years so I am fully prepared to put in the work and raise as much money and awareness as I can to help Galaxy UK beat last year’s total for such a worthy cause.

“I have been involved in pageantry for almost two years and have raised almost £8, 000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation through my own pageant system, National Treasure Pageants.”

The winner of Miss Galaxy Scotland will go on to represent Scotland at the 2016 International Galaxy finals in Florida in August, along with the other UK winners from England and Wales.

But Freya urgently needs local businesses to sponsor her.

Fees for the competition are £225 plus VAT, which can be claimed back against advertising costs.

In return for sponsorship, businesses will receive advertising space on the Galaxy UK website, Freya’s own social media page, and get mention on stage at the finals.

If Freya wins the title she will use it to promote her sponsors across as many platforms as possible. including fundraisers in the run up to and after the competition.
