“A big thank you to Provost Una Walker on opening the event and her kind donation also thanks to councillors Rhondda Geekie and Stewart MacDonald for their support.

“Thanks also to all our sponsors: Calder’s Garden Centre, Peter’s Bakery, McGee’s Pies, Chase Inn, Merkland paper shop, David Clark Jewellery and Morag Lamont Cards.

“Thanks also to all who set up on the Friday evening, who helped in any way on the Saturday, or who served or gave donations. Without the support we get from David’s friends and the general public we could not have raised the magnificent net sum of £1500.

“Once again on behalf of us and the Brain Tumour Charity a big thankyou to everybody involved in the event.”
