Fundraising fun for Eaglesham Freemasons

EAGLESHAM Freemasons have raised over £6,000 to benefit mutiple charities in the past year.

The group has raked in £6,125 for good causes — the largest of which was £2,826, for the Scottish Network for Arthritis in Children (SNAC), with a cheque handed over by immediate past master Gordon Hay last week.

An earlier donation of £1,570 went to Bobath Scotland, for children and adults with cerebral palsy — and members of the lodge also raised £1,360 for the Army Benevolent Fund and £369 for the Eaglesham Anchor Boys.

The generous donations were raised through a series of sponsored walks, a sportsman’s dinner, curry karaoke and a golf day.

Gordon Hay commented: “We surprised ourselves by the amount raised for all these very worthwhile charities and have to thank the members of the public who supported us for their generosity.”
