Giffnock house broken in to during homeowner’s holiday
GIFFNOCK police officers are investigating a high value robbery from a home on Hathaway Drive.
Thieves are thought to have gained entry to the Giffnock house by breaking a panel at the rear between September 17 and 20, while the homeowner was on holiday.
Inspector Alan Dickson told The Extra: “A significant quantity of jewellery was stolen, and CID are now looking into CCTV footage and forensic evidence.
“Anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious is asked to contact us, as well as anyone aware of jewellery being sold in the area.”
