Glasgow Greens select their team for May

The Glasgow Green Party has completed its selection of candidates for the general election.

It’s the first time in the party’s history that it has contested all seven city constituencies, and taking up the fight for Glasgow South is Alastair Whitelaw.

Gren co-convener Patrick Harvie MSP said: “Last year there were around 200 Greens in Glasgow - today there are 2,000.

“Whether it’s putting the railways in public hands or defending the welfare state from Tory attacks, Greens will stand up for the interests of ordinary people.”
